4worldlovers: Located just ten minutes from downtown Honolulu, Oahu Country Club is one of Hawaii's first and most prestigious member-only golf clubs. Hidden behind the tranquil mists of Nu'uanu valley and beset on all sides with towering and majestic green mountain faces, the property upon which the Club sits, otherwise known as Waolani, or "heavenly wilderness," traces its history of ownership back to Hawaiian Royalty under King Kamehameha III. Approximately four-hundred feet above sea level, the Club offers members and guests alike breathtaking views of the Honolulu skyline and Pacific Ocean unlike any other.

Golf is the primary reason for joining Oahu Country Club, but it has proven to be so much more to our family. From the Sunday summer barbecues, the Christmas preview night dinners, the ballroom dance lessons and Zumba, and now watching our grandson participating in junior golf; OCC is truly a family club. Our biggest club event was our daughter Kellie's 2012 wedding, and the staff and chefs did everything to make it a perfect day and evening. The renovated clubhouse truly brings OCC to a whole new level, and we look forward to many more years of enjoyment for our family.

Joining OCC has been a life changing decision for me. After a long day of work, there is nothing better than to wind down with my fellow members. From the beautiful surroundings to the wonderful staff, the club provides a serene haven to play a few holes after work. My family and I are so excited to be apart of OCC as it welcomes modernization with the new weight room and dining pavilion while still maintaining its rich tradition. We are also excited to watch our daughter grow up in the fantastic junior golf program.

When I joined the club I wasn't much into being a part of a Private Country Club however since then I have grown to love this club, the members, staff, and facilities. In my opinion we have the best private country club in Hawaii. What makes it the best is the membership and staff. I look forward to coming each day.

OCC is a family and friend oriented club that happens to include a great golf course, magnificent club house and great food.

Being an OCC member allows me to play unlimited golf, practice on the range and form new friendships. I truly enjoy the challenge of the course and relaxing after golf with friends over good food and drinks.

My family and I have been fortunate to call Oahu CC home for the past 20 years. From the very beginning, the members welcomed us in with open arms and the sense of 'ohana truly resonates throughout the club. The golf course and facilities are constantly improving, and it is a golf course that you can never get tired of playing. After playing hundreds of rounds on this beautiful course, the greens still keep me on my toes, intriguing me to come back and better my last score. OCC is not only a club with a world class staff, immaculate fairways and beautiful views, but it is a place to call home.

Belonging to Oahu Country Club is an integral part of my life. Golfing at a beautiful, premier course was definitely a big attraction when I first came to the Club in 1997 with my young family. We also celebrated many holidays and special occasions at the Club with our daughters, relatives, friends as well as with colleagues.

I am still in awe each time I turn left onto Country Club Road; stop at the Club's front gate & look up at the majestic beauty of "The Lady of Waolani Valley" whom I first met 35 years ago. She holds so many fond memories & celebrations over the past 3+ decades for our family & friends. It would not be possible without the thoughtful, pleasant, courteous & humble attitudes of "THE BACK TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE". We are proud to continue "THE STEWARDSHIP" past generations instilled in us to care for her magnificence as we wish for those who follow us. May "THE LADY" make us proud for another 115 years!
