The Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society presents "The Sweetheart of Hawaiian Music," Ku'uipo Kumukahi, who will be performing at the Plumeria Beach House in The Kahala Hotel & Resort on September 24, 2023. Ku'uipo Kumukahi is a highly acclaimed entertainer known for her mastery of the slack-key guitar and soothing vocals. Her musical journey has been marked by numerous nominations and awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Traditional Hawaiian Album of the Year. With her remarkable talent and passion for preserving Hawaiian music, Ku'uipo Kumukahi promises an enchanting evening filled with heartfelt performances and unforgettable memories.


Join us on Wednesday, October 18th for a special musical performance from Ledward Keapana. Led Kaapana’s mastery of stringed instruments, particularly slack key guitar, and his extraordinary baritone and leo ki`eki`e (falsetto) voices, have made him a musical legend. He has been thrilling audiences for more than 40 years. With easy-going style and kolohe (rascal) charm, he has built a loyal corps of Led Heads from Brussels to his birthplace on the Big Island of Hawaii. Recognition by his peers earned Led 4 Grammy nominations in his own right and 2 wins on slack key compilations. The Performance is brought to you by the Kahala Initiative for Sustainability Culture and the Arts (KISCA).

At Plumeria Beach House, we make every effort to source quality ingredients for our dishes. We are proud to support local farmers and introduce their premium ingredients to our guests. This quarter, we would like to feature one of The Kahala Hotel & Resort’s Signature offerings, "Gratin of Big Island Abalone".

Big Island Abalone operates an ethically raised, solar-powered abalone farm on the Kona coast of Hawai’i island. Kona abalone are raised in pristine, deep seawater and are high in nutritional value, including protein and collagen.


Our Gratin of Big Island Abalone is served with a house-made warm baguette and can be enjoyed at Plumeria Beach House.

Join The Art Kalahiki Band every Friday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and enjoy fireworks from across the bay at 8pm! We have plenty of seating but you can also bring your beach chairs and blankets and set-up on the Waikiki lawn!

For amazing ambiance on the beach with oceanfront, park and city skyline views, Waikiki’s Barefoot Beach Café is the perfect spot for your wedding, corporate and social events!

As of September 2022, we require a buyout of our oceanfront lanai for all onsite events with a rental fee of $1,500 (up to three hours of service) plus a catering minimum of $6,000 which can include coordination fee, food, beverage, styled settings, in-house florals/décor, rentals and additional staffing.
