Kuakini’s Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Emergency Services facility opened on January 10, 2007 to provide comprehensive emergency care for the community. The Emergency Department has 16 beds, which includes 10 private and three semi-private treatment rooms; dedicated triage, trauma and isolation rooms; and separate elevator access to other patient floors.

An exterior covered receiving area enables emergency patients, arriving by ambulance or private vehicle, to be received at the front entrance to the Emergency Department.

Kuakini’s Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by physicians and nurses trained in emergency medicine. Our team cares for both adults and children with illnesses and injuries that need immediate medical attention.
