4worldlovers: Rainbow Schools is a non-profit group of early education centers which has been serving the families of Oahu with excellent programs since 1972.

All of our sites are licensed by the State of Hawaii . In addition, our organization seeks national accreditation for all of its centers through the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA).

For specific information on operating hours, tuition, and site visits, please see the link for each location. Children are accepted by application at the selected site. If no openings are available, the child’s name will be placed on a waiting list.

All Rainbow School tuition fees include meals and snacks. Transportation to and from school is not provided. Upon enrollment, each family is given a handbook with detailed information regarding all school policies.

Upon enrolling, a Form 14 (health record) is required for every child. This card must show that a physical exam and tuberculin test have been completed within the past year, and that all required immunizations are current. In addition, the DHS 908 Supplemental Health Form will need to be completed by the child’s physician.

Rainbow Schools accept children of any race, religion, national or ethnic origin. Children with special needs are accepted whenever they can be appropriately accommodated by our program.

Kama’aina Kids at St. Marks is located between the slopes of Diamond Head and Waikiki at the corner of Kapahulu Avenue and Herbert Street. Our hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with program times available to fit your needs. We service families with children aged six weeks to five years of age. Included in our school districts are Liholiho, Ala Wai, Waikīkī, and Jefferson. Our school is located in an area that supports students who are attending or working at the University of Hawaii, Kapi‘olani Community College and Chaminade University.

At Kama’aina Kids St. Marks we have 6 classrooms with teachers who are educated with degrees and training that support their ability to provide ongoing quality care. In each class we have a lead teacher and an assistant. In our Infant and toddler program we have trained Caregivers and an assistant. The NECPA Standards gauge quality in the areas such as adult/child interaction, the health and safety of the physical setting, staff framing, curriculum/ assessments, and the relationships between the administration, the parents, and the community.

Our curriculum at Kama’aina Kids St. Marks is Creative Curriculum. This curriculum is a blueprint for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate program.
