Clinic Hours: 8AM – 12PM, 1PM – 5PM Monday thru Friday. These slots are reserved for established patients requiring medications, lasers, drops, injections, or monitoring for vision threatening diseases.

Telehealth (i.e. video-chat) consultations: 1PM – 5PM Monday. This serves to triage and prevent unnecessary clinic visits for new patients, new complaints, or patients who have been at risk of infection with SARS-CoV-2. Patients can call us to inquire and arrange appointments.

Raised in Kaneohe, Dr. Chang attended UC Berkeley for college and returned to the University of Hawaii for medical school. After his residency at Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine, he went to Harvard for his fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology. He stayed on faculty at Harvard Medical School for seven years teaching microsurgery techniques, and authored several publications. A dedicated learner, he studied public health at Johns Hopkins and healthcare finance at Wharton.

Dr. Yamamoto is an eye surgeon and treats conditions such as cataracts and pterygia. In addition, she has completed additional fellowship training in medical retina and treats conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.


Our physician and staff are fluent in Japanese and English, aiding communication with our patients. We are the only clinic in Hawaii that has a Japanese-speaking ophthalmologist.

We use only the latest equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment. Our exam rooms feature large screen monitors that can display photos and test results which greatly enhances the patient's understanding of their eye conditions.

We are located at the Ala Moana shopping center with excellent access by bus and by car. The center offers ample free parking next to our building.
