Highly recommend! When I told people where my kids were doing swim lessons, people were amazed that my kids were doing swimming lessons in the ocean. I would say, “Well, it’s a lagoon. If you live in Hawaii and you are not doing swim lessons at the beach, then maybe you are doing it wrong!” My kids worked with Coach Liliya and they absolutely loved working with her! Liliya was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and all the questions my kids had.

COACH BRETT - a kingggg so patient with my anxious 5 year old who clinged to him through every session. He was so kind, got down to his level to communicate, calm, and kept the lesson interesting. He adjusted as needed in such a kind way! He is a 5 star coach!

Coach Leah was great and taught me properly about ocean safety! I feel confident to save myself, if I were to accidentally fall into an open body of water. I'm able to float comfortably on my back and tread water long enough to catch my breath. I wish I was able to learn how to better breath during swimming freestyle, but she was able to get me to swim a good distance than I initially could. Cheers to Coach Leah and Swim Lessons Hawaii!

We consider ourselves luckiest to have found Swim Lessons Hawaii and we are forever grateful to have the opportunity to work with Coach Oleksii for the past summer. It is the first time our daughter and myself learned how to swim. From the adult learning perspective, I can easily say what I have achieved within the past 1.5 months was beyond my wildest imagination. Learning how to swim past certain age can be intimidating and if without the right instruction, I simply don't know where to start. This was not true when I started working with Coach Oleksii. It was the best decision I have made this summer. He is very good at breaking down the different skills to achieve each lesson's goal and by using the right drills, he helps me establish my fundamental swimming skills.

This swimming experience was so worth it. Jenner was a great teacher and coach. She was very responsive to our needs and really helped us fee confident and ready to adopt swimming into our workout routine. Thank you!

Coach Caroline is a very professional swimming coach. She is very patient and knows how to guide the kids learning from playing. My kid and her friend had 12 lessons with her and learned free style, breaststroke, backstroke…They were very happy! I strongly recommend Coach Caroline.

The Waikiki Natatorium War Memorial is a World War I living memorial on Oahu, Hawaii, USA. It is a salt-water swimming pool built in the ocean on Waikiki’s San Souci beach.

The memorial was designed to honor the ~10,000 men and women from Hawaii who served and the 101 who gave their lives during World War I. The opening ceremony took place on 24 August 1927.

The Waikiki Natatorium War Memorial is currently closed to the public due to disrepair and neglect by the local and state government. It has been shuttered since the 1980s, and there is an ongoing effort to try and preserve the memorial and the legacy of those who served, sacrificed.

The most recent effort is a documentary film The Tank which chronicles the role of the Natatorium in the lives of thousands of Oahu children and families, as well as the world-class swimming culture that was spawned by olympians and local folks.
