Dr. Lance Teramoto established his dental practice in 1985. He had just returned home to Honolulu from Washington D.C. where he completed his studies in dentistry. Born and raised in Mililani, Hawaii, Dr. Teramoto graduated from Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Hawaii; earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California, and received his Doctorate in Dental Science (DDS) from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Gum received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he was also awarded the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry. Prior to attending dental school, and after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vertebrate Zoology from the University of Washington, he owned and operated a dental laboratory for eight years, crafting superior crown and bridgework for several island dentists.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Gum graduated from Kaimuki High School. He is an artisan by avocation, dabbling in stained glass, glass blowing, pen making, gyotaku (fish printing) and currently ukulele making. Married for 36 years, he is the father of two awesome children and the grandfather of three amazing boys.
