4worldlovers: In the Fall of 2022, LJA initiated a strategic planning process involving stakeholders, extensive data gathering, mission and vision exercises, and discussions on innovative thinking about the school’s future. This collaborative approach created a shared vision for LJA’s future. Our newly crafted mission statement, to cultivate a community of learners who embrace hana pono to positively impact the world, inspires our students, teachers, supporters and partners to “strive for the summit” and become learners and leaders who will make this world a better place.

Our deepest appreciation to those who helped support the efforts to raise disaster relief donations and supplies for our Maui neighbors. LJA's efforts in partnership with Hui Mahi'ai 'Āina produced nearly 30 truck loads of supplies in one weekend that were delivered to Maui. Our community's grace and generosity in a time of need is humbling. Alumni, students, parents, faculty and staff gave time to help, and the community came forward to give what they could. Mahalo for living hana pono-- the good works of us all.

LJA provides students with a continuum of education, consisting of three programmes united by the International Baccalaureate philosophy and approaches to learning and teaching. The programmes encourage both personal and academic achievement, and successful completion of the DP programme culminates in the IB diploma.
